The dual-core blade of the Shun Kagerou Nakiri is crafted using an innovative forging process, in which two types of steel are fused together to form a blade comprising 71 layers of steel. The result is evident in the Shun Kagerou Nakiri’s long-lasting edge retention and exceptional sharpness – for effortless cutting, as food simply glides off the blade.
The unique appearance is evident in the upper part of the Shun Kagerou Nakiri blade, which features a high-gloss polished finish. A delicate pattern of dual-core damask steel winds its way along the cutting edge.
The Shun Kagerou Nakiri features an elegant, mottled grey handle made of pakka wood. The Shun Kagerou knife range in Damascus steel was awarded the Red Dot Award 2025.
